Eastern Edge, Lowestoft – Project Update
We’re delighted to share a look at the ongoing progress at Jubilee Parade, where the next phase of East Suffolk Council’s regeneration vision for the seafront is taking shape, with the new facility due to open early 2026. The steel frame and lift tower are now in place with the walls and cladding works well underway.
Following the delivery of the new contemporary beach huts next to the site, this phase will see the construction of a new, accessible two-storey café complex and promenade extension on to the beach.
The development will provide:
- A first-floor café/restaurant with uninterrupted sea views and outdoor seating
- Three concession units on the ground floor including the relocated Zaks cafe
- New toilets, showers, and a Changing Places facility
- A lift linking the upper and lower promenade
The project is designed to enhance the leisure offer in Lowestoft by creating a vibrant coastal destination for both residents and visitors.
Thanks to PJ Spillings for the drone footage showing the progress!
