Introducing Jon Jennings, Director of Planning based at our Cambridge office -
Jon has over 33 years of planning experience and became a Chartered Planner (MRTPI) in 1993. With extensive public and private sector expertise, he has worked at Pegasus, Strutt & Parker, and Cheffins before joining Chaplin Farrant’s Cambridge office in May 2023. His focus is expanding our planning services across Norwich, Cambridge, and York.
Jon is no stranger to Chaplin Farrant, having collaborated with us on projects since 2006. Over the years, he has worked on a wide range of developments across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Humberside, Bedfordshire, and London.
Since joining, he has been busy with residential, commercial, and leisure projects, including a dinosaur park! The residential sector has been particularly active, with over 354 dwellings approved or in resolution to approve and 441 more in preparation for submission. These range from single homes to 100+ unit developments, covering both market and affordable housing.
For developers, clear and consistent advice is crucial, whether for small or large-scale projects. Jon’s extensive experience of working in East Anglia means that he is commercially aware, and has a wealth of contacts at Local Planning Authorities to help ensure a smooth process, even when faced with planning delays, he also knows a large number of specialist consultants who can assist in the preparation of schemes.
