Brief: To design a scheme for 6  No. 2 bedroom flats on an old Council workshop site on the edge of the outer ring road in Norwich.

 

Detail: The scheme is a general needs housing scheme with 6 no. 2 bedroom flats for rent. 

The form, massing, materials & detailing were carefully considered so that the proposed flats provided an attractive contemporary response to a busy urban site adjacent to one of Norwich’s gateway points.

 

The dwellings were constructed with modern methods of construction including off site timber framing & heat recovery units to improve energy efficiency. The flats were designed to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.
