AL2 0611
Brief: As part of Lowestoft College’s ongoing building improvements and maintenance programme, this scheme aimed to dramatically improve the face of the college.

Detail: The main tower block was 90% glass and expensive to run. The recladding solution extends the life-span of the tower, reduces energy costs, creates a thermally efficient building, reduces solar glare and creates a pleasant teaching space.

The building has now achieved BREEAM rating “Very Good”, while internally the block was refurbished.

Elsewhere on the campus, internal upgrades will now be completed and a new entrance to the College will also be added.
